How an Outlaw gets made
No marketing fog: here’s what we use, how we make it, and why it costs $89.99.
The wood
Outlaw bats are turned from economy-grade maple and birch billets. Economy (paint-grade) wood is solid playing wood. It just doesn’t pass the cosmetic and grain checks that pro-grade billets do, so you may see a color streak, a mineral mark, or grain that isn’t perfectly straight. That’s the trade-off that lets us sell a made-to-order bat for $89.99.
We don’t sell ink-dot or pro-grade wood under the Outlaw name, and we won’t pretend otherwise.

The lathe
Each billet is turned on a CNC lathe to the model and length you pick, so a 271 comes out a 271 every time. The ends are cut, and the barrel is cupped if you asked for it.

Sanding, paint and engraving
Every bat is sanded by hand, then painted in the colors you chose: gloss, matte or left raw. We add the bandit logo and your engraving (one line, up to 20 characters), then box it for FedEx.

What it costs and how long it takes
Every Outlaw bat is $89.99, any color. Standard builds take 2–3 weeks; Express takes 5 business days for $35 more. Production and shipping details.
